Captain Marvel conveniently shows up the moment Tony Stark is dying and brings him and Nebula home from space. How does she know where to find them? We were given the answer to this back in March. There's a post-credits scene in "Captain Marvel" that looks as if it's a scene from "Avengers: Endgame." Marvel released it online for you to watch here. That scene never appears in "Endgame" but is extremely important for understanding how Tony gets back home. In it, Captain Marvel arrives at the Avengers HQ, where she meets Captain America, Black Widow, Bruce Banner, and more. She finds out Nick Fury is missing, and the scene ends. It can be assumed this is where she also meets Tony's fiancée, Pepper Potts. Tony has been sending her transmissions from space via his Iron Man suit. The remaining heroes team up to face Thanos in "Avengers: Endgame." If she's been receiving those messages, then she was likely able to tell Captain Marvel where to find Stark and Nebula. I'm not a scientist, otherwise I'd be off studying quantum physics. So I'm not going to pretend to know whether the time travel in "Endgame" checks out. Lucky for us, Newsweek asked some scientists to look over the science in the movie, and they said "Endgame" did a pretty good job in its attempt to " adhere to current high level-thinking about time travel."įor what it's worth, the time travel in "Endgame" is explained rather quickly. Not a lot of time is spent on it, so I just accepted whatever I was watching on screen for the most part without worrying too much. Views are personal. If Tony Stark tells me he figured out how time travel works, I trust him. Shashi Shekhar is editor-in-chief, Hindustan. He must be aware that neither he nor his party can afford a third consecutive defeat. His demeanour at press conferences often does not reflect his reputation. The problem he faces now is a lack of control over his speech. If Rahul Gandhi is to succeed in his efforts, he must unify his thoughts, words and actions. He has effectively demonstrated in all previous regional and national elections that he has an incredible capacity to break apart caste equations. The topic is made more interesting by the fact that the central government is currently in the hands of Narendra Modi, who comes from a backward caste. Two questions arise here: Will the opening of the “great Ram mandir" in Ayodhya create a wave large enough to give the BJP a third consecutive majority? Or, in the name of the caste census, would there be another storm like the one that previously overwhelmed Ram lehar? For long, the BJP has exploited this sentiment. There is no doubt that all ceremonies, starting with idol installation, would be grandiose to give Hindu religious beliefs a push. Home minister Amit Shah recently said the Ram temple would be completed by 1 January 2024. It is evident that Mandal and Kamandal politics will be resurrected in the coming days. The slogan ‘Jiski jitni sankhya bhaari, uski utni hissedari’ (share according to one’s strength) was once used to destabilize the Congress. Surely, Rahul is aware of these problems, which is why he has started advocating a caste census. Nothing could have been a bigger insult to Manmohan Singh than the fact that the heir of the same Gandhi dynasty that had brought him to office publicly disapproved of his decision. It was an attack on his own party’s government. Similarly, in front of the media, Rahul tore copies of the ordinance amending The Representation of the People Act. Although Rahul’s initiative did not help the Congress, Mayawati lost the next election. Farmers there were agitated because the state government was acquiring their land for a private company’s power project. You may recall his visit to Bhatta Parsol in Uttar Pradesh in 2011. Rahul has made similar efforts in the past. This is the most effective strategy to stop the autocracy of the ruling elite. There are few such people in today’s politics who, despite being out of power, can apply indirect pressure on people’s representatives for the public good. It would be good for Rahul to take to the streets once more to advocate Opposition unity. Is Nitish Kumar planning to visit other states in the near future? The Congress’s reliance on Nitish would undoubtedly grow as a result of this court decision. This is why he and Tejashwi Yadav have publicly stated that they are willing to join efforts for Opposition unity, but the Congress must agree, too. Nitish had come to Delhi last September, too, hoping to gain Congress’ support, but he did not get the green signal from the “family". It’s no surprise then that the red carpet is now being rolled out to Nitish Kumar, whom the Congress had ditched before the last general election. Rahul will undoubtedly have to devise a new strategy to go forward.
